Here are some of the things people are saying about Prenatal Vinyasa Yoga:
NEW YORK TIMES

"make you feel good, even with a big belly,"
"My arms and legs got a workout, and I felt stretched, connected and relaxed."
This
dvd is truly incredible. I started it in my third week
of pregnancy and was hooked! It was the only prenatal
dvd that I stuck with because not only did I feel restored
and more centered after the workout (yes, it's long
but very well paced), but I noticed that my body became
very tone and flexible and...dare I say it, even LOOKED
better as time went on. My legs and buttocks were more
toned than they have ever been -not something I expected
to see during pregnancy! |

This
is the first pregancy yoga video I've found that is rigorous enough to
keep me in yoga shape - both body and mind - through all 3 trimesters.
Even my non-pregnant sister found it challenging enough to do it with
me.
It is long, but you can stop whenever you want, of course.
I love the instructor and her routine here so much, that I'm
hoping to find other 'regular' yoga videos from her for post-pregnancy.
Very peaceful and flowing, without being patronizing or annoying.
If you haven't done yoga before, this will be a tough introduction,
but if you pay close attention to her breathing instructions and watch
it once through, and are relatively fit, I think it would be good for you
too.
An
exceptionally good instructor, great for yogis who practiced before,

I was impressed by the professionalism of the instructor as she leads a one and a half hour long yoga session without interuption or getting out of breath. I agree with other raters that this work out is mostly suitable for women who did some yoga before, or who are in a good shape. Even if you start with doing half of it, gradually you will build strength as the entire sequence is designed physiologically correct, with a good knowledge of both yoga and woman's anatomy. I liked the pace and even distribution of more difficult poses and relaxation asanas. It's a great way to continue doing serious yoga without going to your favourite class.

As
an MD, I'm often skeptical of the promises a lot of yoga dvds make. Jennifer
Wolfe's vinyasa practice exceeds all expectations.
I used this vinyasa practice throughout both of my pregnancies.
I became stronger as each pregnancy progressed, so that I was able to achieve
my goal of natural childbirth with energy left over.
You will work hard, sweat a lot, and be as prepared for childbirth
as you can possibly be. I can't recommend this dvd highly enough!!!

I purchased this video with high hopes for a great workout...and that's exactly what I got!! I've been practicing yoga for at least five years now and enjoy a good workout. I was worried at first by shopping for a pregnancy oriented video, but to be honest, this was better than some of my other non-pregnancy workouts. The nice part is that they have 3 women doing the video, each in a different trimester so you can be assured to have the right variations for your level of experience and size. Hope this review helps!
Doula,
Yoga Instructor, and Mom,

Of
all the prenatal yoga videos I've seen, this is the best. This video
doesn't approach pregnancy as a disability, but as a vital and vibrant
stage of life.
I am a yoga instructor, and during my pregnancy I absolutely
found this video to be challenging, but the modifications shown made it
doable up to my due date (although naturally it became more challenging
as my belly expanded). As a doula, I was comforted by the fact that Jennifer
Wolfe is also a doula and clearly has extensive knowledge about the pregnant
body. I never felt that I needed to be especially cautious of my joints
as I have attending regular yoga classes during pregnancy. So many prenatal
yoga videos and classes don't offer a challenge for the experienced practitioner;
this one is a distinct exception. My favorite part was the modified sun
salutation. This is the only video or class I've seen that includes this
feature (incuding my own prenatal classes!). Definitely, as a previous
reviewer mentioned, use a mat with this video, as there are a lot of transitions
to and from your knees.
